Double Dipping

The good and bad

Smothering

Eternal grace

Slumbering

Eat only sweets

Hungering

Life without pain

Suffering

Immortality without weeping

Is a corpse that never rots

For apathy of feeling

A racehorse that only trots

Freed of free will, kneeling to a lord

A homely bot, poverty is presuming

The illusion of all consuming blooming

Bereft of ruin, will somehow leave us human

What hubris

A coward in the brightest hours

Dour at the dimming

Intense light devours flowers

No double-dipping
